Contax IIa / IIIa cassettes?

Bill, the takeup spool that came with my IIa was like you describe, and one of my two post-war cassettes is of the same style.

I just wish the Zeiss cutting templates were more available (or for a Chinese dealer to make a copy). They look like nifty little things, but I've seen them only in expensive, lot auctions.

Try looking for a PRINZ Fillm Cutting Guide. They are avaiolable on e-bay from USD 9. This is the one I use. The form is for the Contax cassettes.
