...On a side note, shooting today is starting to confirm my opinion that Sunny 16 should be Sunny 11 (at least) in the UK. Heavy overcast today and I was metering 1600ISO at f5.6 1/500s

IMO FWIW, sunny 16 was designed for summer, as "Summer 16" then f/8 for about now and f/11 in between times. Light varies over the course of the day and the year but funny 16 still seems to rule...
