Impulse too late! Contax IIIa and two lenses
Impulse got the better of me and I bought this one last night. These forums are dangerous:

Thanks for the tips though, cheers Rick

Looks like a nice one - you'll need an external finder for the Triotar, though. It doesn't seem to be included. Still a good price if it lives up to the description.

Well the Contax IIIa arrived and it looks to me to be very good. The shutter, rangefinder and lightmeter all work and the lenses are clear and clean. Phew! I rushed it round to my camera tech guy and he confirmed its a goody with no issues. It sounds beautiful and looks nice too. The only drawback is that someone has engravedtheir initials on the front plat and they are V.D.!!! I'll post some pictures of it later today.

Hi,
You were right, these forums are dangerous places.
Still, weren't you lucky with the IIIa? It's so nice to see everything together with the camera, instead of the body here and the lens there and so on right down to the original price tag with an auction of its own...
Regards, David
