The Contax design in a classic _ functional and beautiful. And the ergonimics (once you get used to the Contax hold) are great.

Actually that was a photo that I took using Peter's digi camera. Using it caused me to want one, and I did get a current model Lumix for Christmas. Digital P+S cameras are okay, useful to take shots of real cameras. 😉

Joe, if you get the serial number of the camera body from Frank, you can look it up on a sticky on the Zeiss Ikon forum.

We're having a bit of weather today, but I"ll still try to get out at lunch to the post office. If not then, then definitely on the way home.

Is the serial number visible in any pictures? The camera is packed up.

i found the serial # yes, the camera is from 1952.

That's what we've got. It has stopped now though. In the morning by 7am there were over 100 car accidents reported in the GTA area.

Quick shot out my front door.
There isn't much on the ground but it's like a layer of mini ball bearings. And shoveling it is like pushing around table salt ... it's heavy.
