I had my Dad's IIIa overhauled by HS back in 2003 when there was NO wait list. Reading this thread, I know how you all must feel who have used a HS Contax! Nearly four years later the camera is still as smooth as glass! Mine sports a Sonnar F:1.5 and it's the best lens I've ever used! Good luck to you all!

This lovely IIa is now mine! And a nice 50/1.5 coated Sonnar, too! I'm lucky that Joe decided that he had too many mounts.
