Contax IIIa Black Dial with working PC-sync

Today I got my hands on a lovely Contax IIIa, black dial, with a 50mm T coated f1.5 sonnar (Zeiss-Opton, 662485).

Now.. It's serial is T 35864 on both top and bottom, which puts it in '51 or '52, early production, mechanical sync. It's most certainly a black dial camera, however... On the back, instead of it's mechanical sync, there's a PC sync socket.
The camera seems to work flawlessly, all speeds sound like their accurate speeds, except one second just a tad slower. Even the timer works.
The PC-sync works too, no problems whatsoever. And, it's very neatly done, it doesn't wobble, the ring surrounding it looks original, it just looks like it's supposed to be there.

What gives?

Many competent repairshops could do this Modification. In 60 years, very possible that this camera was modified.

One more question; Can an early Zeiss-Opton f1.5 sonnar be.. Sweeney-fied with a Jupiter-3 helicoid?

NO: the zeiss Opton cannot fit into a J-3 LTM mount, only Carl Zeiss Jena lenses with SN's below ~2860000.

I use my sonnar with great results on my m3 with an amedeo adapter, works perfectly

A late run i the transformation can have a PC synk, just like mine II who has it too from Factory, but added in the 50s.
