Contax N Digital

Sorry, I know this isn't a digital forum, but it's the closest thing I could find. I recently acquired a NOS Contax N Digital. Everything works except it won't take a picture. I can set it up, format a memory card, etc.---but nothing happens when I hit the shutter.



I would like to either (a) get it fixed, or (b) remove the case and put it on a cosmetically challenged N Digital that works.


I contacted Nippon Photo Clinic and they replied that they no longer work on this camera. Does anyone here know of a person/place that could fix this camera or swap bodies with another?

Not familiar with the N, but some cameras won't fire if the menu is set to focus priority, and the image isn't perfectly in focus.

Another thought... have you tried the self timer function?

Also, some early SD card cameras only work with 2 gb or smaller cards.

I initially had a 32gb card in it, which it didn't recognize. I put a 2gb card in and it formatted it fine, and tells me I have 654 pics remaining. There's no "focus priority" on the menu, but I will look for a self timer. Thanks----
