A few pics to make sure that the camera is in working order.

First off, this camera has a date back that will print the date between the frames, not on the frames themselves like some cheap P&S 🙂

No light leaks, metering auto-metering is okay:

We were having a crawfish (crayfish to some?) cook-off last week at my work place:

*Yes, it's grainy, but somehow I think the photo above would just be a boring snapshot if I were to use my digital camera.

Next, critical focus:

* A wind gust of 50mph was blowing on the field where I took the above photo. Thanks to 1/4000th of a second shutter speed, the flower was still.

* This photo is dedicated to those who has never seen crawfish cooked this way. 🙂

The camera feels sure and hefty, which is very useful for those handheld shots with the 135mm Sonnar 1:2.8.

Also, I don't think I've ever seen results this sharp from these two lenses.

Film: Kodak Gold 200.

Love it! That second shot is great....lovely colors, contrast, etc. Were these with the 50/1.7?

The shallow DoF ones are from Sonnar 135/2.8, and the wider ones are from Distagon 35/2.8.

I have the Planar 1.7 but 50mm is not my go to focal length usually, that one is reserved if I have to shoot indoors.

Cheers Mike.
I thought long and hard about getting the RX, but the ST just jumped at me with the price I can't refuse.

There's an ST at my local shop I've been considering as a backup.

No ... wait ... it's an S2. Well, I'm still considering it as a backup 🙂
