Hi Guys,
Long time since I have been on this forum.. should have been here more.
I am interested to know if anyone has had issues with a contax T2 where it assumes the only point of focus is infinity.
This is a wonderful camera but my constant out of focus shots are annoying.
The Electronic Rangefinder in manual always indicates infifity as does the autofocus, however in manual focus the lens will focus via dead reckoning.
your help will be appreciated.

I guess it is possible the focus wheel could need repair? But if it turns off at 'OFF' and on at 'AF' that seems unlikely. I mention the wheel as a possiblity since one of my T2's has a loose wheel of sorts- it will turn way past 'OFF', although not back on till it reaches 'AF'.
Check the Kyocera website to find your local Contax repair place- here in the US they list a phone number to call in NJ- repairs were quick for my G2.

Hello Steven, I have the same problem with my T2, it is stuck on infinity even on manual focus. I hope that someone has a solution on it.

Well I have had the contax in the state it is in for a while now and really the cost of repair outweighs any likelyhood it will ever get done, as a spare will be £9 more!
So dead reckoning and a G1 it is.
Plus my flipping M2 just broke as well with the rewind friction plate fracturing.

Get another T2 while you can if you like it as much as I do.
