Hi,

I've been using my Contax T3 for about a year now and every now and then I get a few frames on a roll that have dark diagonal stripes across the photo in approximately the same position (see attached examples).

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Thanks

Could it be dirt anywhere on the inside of the camera? Im not familar with the T3 but if it has an rollers or anything that dirt could be on it and the intermittent pattern could be the dirt scratching the emulsion and then rolling around again.

I would have a look and just check for dust and dirt. Good luck!

EDIT: Never mind I was looking at the blue streaks on the first photo! It is likely a shutter issue by the looks of the lines

Too bad to hear about such a problem on a camera which otherwise seems to be reliable. Considering what a working Contax T3 may go for on Ebay, it is probably worth get it repaired. And if that's not an option, sell it as it is and there may be someone else willy to pay to get it repaired and continue to use it.

It looks like you might have a grain of sand or a spur of metal on one of the film guides scratching the film. Check everything that the film slides over on its way from the cassette to the take-up reel.
