I have never used one. As far as I know it works off of a timer. Is it possible to it more manually. Like set it for 60 sec but press the button at say 30secs and close the shutter? Or do you have to let the timer run its course?

Thanks

What if you switch the camera off during the long exposure, will that close the shutter?

Put aside how you stabilize the tiny camera during such actions:

After turning the switch, It will close the shutter, advance the film and retract the lens before power off; The later two won't happen if you take the battery straight out, but the shutter will nonetheless close.

The only camera out of the traditional "advanced film compact" category that offer unlimited long exposure is the Hexar - it has a T mode. But again it is not so "compact", and the shutter will open only while power lasts.

Thanks. There are a few that offer manual bulb mode. Ricoh GR1/s/v, nikon 35/28ti. Just wished the T3 was locked into a timer thing. I do a lot of long exposure and its very useful to me. Still might get it. The lens is just too damn good.
