Anyone know where I can send in my T3 for a repair. The shutter on the lens cover does not open/ close.

I send my stuff to Sendean - just search for them, they have two outlets, in the City and the West End. They give free estimates, so no surprises.

Really? I have heard (and can confirm) that they can be a bit pricey, but they always seem to do a good job.

Whom do you use for your repairs?

For Leica - CRR - Peter's work is excellent top quality

I have just had my Fuji GS645 looked at by Dave at Camera Repair Workshop in MK who did a great job. The camera had previously had CLA at Sendean and had to be returned 6 times. I am not a fussy customer all the faults resulted in the camera not working. Don't think I would hurry back again

I did have a Canon Telephoto repaired by them successfully but a Rollei 35 which had a thump on the shutter release was repaired but the shutter button had to be pressed much further down than before and never felt right so I sold it.

I work very close to their Soho shop so it would offer a convenient service but I've just lost confidence with them

I can recommend Camera Repair in Luton, they just serviced my wife's Rollei AFM35 and it's all ok.

Also GRES (Graham Rose http://www.gres.co.uk/gres.htm) who serviced my Canon P and Nikon S2, also my Contax 139 and Yashica FX7. Although he is a bit slower, as he's generally very busy, he's a one person operation.

I had a GS645W shutter replaced at Camera Repair in Milton Keynes (Dave) and can also recommend him.

Well, but the question was asked for a Contax T3, no? So the reply should take that into account.. So far, I sent my T3 to Alphadigital.co.uk ; they send it to japan, so it takes a while, but they do repair i, it's not too pricey and I never had any issue - well last time I sent one was 2 years ago, things might have changed.

You could try Graham Playford. Give him a call to see if he works on T3's. I've used him for lenses but when I went to his workshop he had many types of camera's there

Sendean are staggeringly expensive. No reason to charge that much.

I'd just send it, special delivery, to someone like Newton Ellis or Miles Whitehead (both in the UK) - provided they both service it.
