Can someone tell me the effect this filter has on colour/ B&W film?

The more common terminology calls that a 81a filter. It is a slight warming filter, intended to correct the blue tint of shadows under a blue sky. You won't see that on black and white, nor on CN film - the effect is too small to be visible except on slide film. On slide film the effect is pretty generally pleasant and I use it permanently with most current films (except for Astia).
With black and white its only use would be as a UV filter or protection filter.
