On ebay Germany there also is the 85 mm f1.2...I would like to be shamefully rich to get these two lenses and see if they really are worth of what I'd pay for them.
The Helios is still a preset lens, isn't it? I wish KMZ could update it and also reissue the 77K-4 and the rare Zenitar 1.4 that remained at proto stage in Soviet times, a lot of people (me included) like the old Helios lenses, for instance I use the 81N on my Nikons with good results:
The Otus looks like any crappy autofocus lens that you can find of the market today, the old Planar 1.2 is a well built lens like they used to make with the vintage building building quality, it would be good if Zeiss allows Cosina to make a cheaper variant, their Nokton and Planar 1.4 are excellent lenses.
I am not surprised, I hope the new owner will receive the hood as well because otherwise a japanese seller has one that he's selling for the reasonable amount of 300 dollars.
That was quite a good deal, actually. It has more fringing than modern lenses and the bokeh is more nervous but it still has that special look to it. Quite a bit rarer than the 85/1.2, too so it should hold its value better.
