So who's the go to guy for doing work on folding ZI Contessa's? Just picked one up for a good price, but it needs CLA, etc. Thanks for your help.

They are simple cameras to service - I've only done one but there is one regular here who owned a closet full at one time.
What's up with yours? Pretty standard to have a gummed shutter, dirty opics and rangefinder. Also common to have vertical alignment problems from a formerly botched repair job

That's about it. The linkage doesn't seem to work so the shutter has to be fired with the relase at the base of the shutter itself. Thr slow speeds are reeeeel sloooo .. w. The optics need to be spiffed up, and of course the meter doesn't work. I don't see that vertical alighment is off, but then I can see much at all through the rangefinder.
That's something of an exageration. Seriously, though, , I don't feel like I want to start taking things apart . I did that with an old Practiflex and it's still in pieces, entombed in a tupper ware coffin. It looks like layers of stuff have to be removed just to get at the shutter.
Looking for resources and ideas.
