Contessamatic

Hi, Anyone use a Contessamatic E (10.0645) does it have to have film in it for the shutter to cock and work >?

I just picked up a Contessamatic (not the E rangefinder version, but otherwise identical). Mine doesn't need to have film in it to cock the shutter.

No, it does not need film to cock-shutter and fire
It should do it

It may get stuck after a few years of no use, but some ronsonol cleans the mechanism easily.
