I got an M8 last week, and while messing with it on the couch, and my wife was watching Animal Planet, I created an entirely new (as far as I know) Art Form!

Couch-Potato Wildlife Photography. With a high-res TV and appropriate lens, you can sit in your living room in comfort and make the neatest-looking wildlife shots. Lions, tigers, wolves, all close up and well-lit; even meercats. No walking, no bugs, no airports...

The fact is, the res is higher than here on the 'net, so you lose nothing!

I'm not exactly sure (mumble mumble) about the copyright implications, but it IS an Art Form we're talking about here, so maybe it'd fall under the Fair Use exemption.

Besides, I doubt if anyone would care.

Should I start working on a prize?

Sounds interesting.

dunno how others will think of this. It does feel kinda odd, is this really photography? Taking a picture of some one else's work?

But a very cheap way for those with shallow pockets to "create" wildlife pictues. Not all of us can afford to go safari in africa or east indies.

then again. you werent being serious were you? 😛

Well, I'm not sure about the originality, but here is one I did in 2004 (of course, I was focused on in the flesh wildlife):
