Thanks. Yes, this lens is very small and light. It gives us alternatives to what we have in Leica lenses.

Yes, Peter. I get RF focus for all distances.

My lens has its original (badly scratched) front element replaced with the clear glass from a coated Xenon, while the rear element is uncoated. The coated front element is good for reducing glare and flare, while the uncoated rear element reduces the contrast a little, for a charming creamy look.

Helped by a friend I have converted a Retina IIIc Schneider 50mm f2 lens to a M mount lens. The craftsmanship is excellent, parts are well made. It took me few months to find a Kodak Retina IIIc with good lens and few months on waiting list to get the lens converted.

It was converted by a technician in China. However, I think Taobao (like eBay in here) blocked all overseas IP to see or order service from domestic market only vendors.

Maybe true, however, the Retina IIIc Schneider lens is excellent. I bought IIIc with broken film transport gear for $30-40, the conversion plus shipping is very reasonable at that time. It gives the lens a second life in this digital age.
