Anyone have experience with such a conversion?
I am interested in converting the 50mm 1.4 S.C. to LTM and am open for suggestions (help
)
thanks!

It's probably a real nightmare and expensive, even if possible. I'd sell the S mount and buy a LTM version, they are pretty common and cheap.

Just get an adapter from Amedeo on eBay. Currently, he's only selling an M mount adapter (like item 130299512612), but he does make LTM versions, too.

Get the LTM version at Kevin's or KEH
Take a look at this thread linked below. Amedeo makes both Nikon S-mount to LTM and Nikon S-mount to M-mount adapters, and they're a lot cheaper than a Cooke & Perkins or Orion adapter.

Unless you want to convert a Millenium lens, it's not worth it, IMO. Amedeo's adapters are not cheap, and an original LTM lens can focus down to .7m.
I have a loaner Millenium with Amedeo adapter at home - that is a totally different story
Cheers,
Roland.

On the other hand, the really nice 50/1.4s in LTM are going for mega prices...an S mount and an Amedeo adapter can still leave money left over compared to buying an LTM version.
