Cool KE-7A/Rapidwinder mod.

Lumiere is a camera store in Tokyo and it is occupied by a lot of people who make their own stuff. I have spent many happy evenings there, dissassembling and assembling cameras, drinking beer and eating pizza. After hours it works like a "club" - various tinkerers wander in and work on projects, building amplifiers, putting together cameras, fixing cameras etc - a social club more than anything else. Kikuchi-san (the owner) and several technicians, including Shintaro Yaginuma use it as a "home away from home". You want your M-turned black paint - thats were it is done. Usually all of this is done to the sound of someone trying to fine tune a big amplifier, or Kikuchi puts on great arias on the in house system.
Always glass cabinets with weird cameras and lenses to rummage through too. In short a rather perfect way of spending an evening in Tokyo!
I do remember the KE-7 and the Rapidwinder too. I was there when it was done.

Sounds like a great place to spend some time!

Interesting-looking modification to a Bessa R on the page. It looks like the owner has removed the frameline selector (leaving the 35mm and 50mm framelines up permanently) and hotshoe, and painted the whole thing a nice hammertone.
