Hi there guys..
I have a problem with the Coolscan V, When I scan a negative or whatever, the result image in the preview is BLACK, nothing show just black frame, any suggestion? and the noise is so different when is scanning for the preview, like little hits.. dun dun dun.. sorry!
I tried negatives, positives, silverdast, vuescan.. frames between 1 and 6... using the SA-21
Thanks!

Show us a screenshot of your settings on the Color tab.
On the Entrada tab, if you tick the box for Lock Exposure (sorry, don't know the translation) what RGB Exposure value is the slider at? If it's a very high number try locking it to 1.
If you try a scan in color RGB (24 or 48 bit) do you see any difference?

It may be a fault with the scanner. Fortunately, Nikon still repair these; I just got mine back from Nikon UK today with a new power supply and an overhaul.

Or perhaps it is the film transport issue with SA-21, i would try scanning with film strip adapter before sending it to Nikon, good luck.
BTW how much did you pay for CLA of your scanner Ade-oh?
