More cameras than shots
I am trying to finish the repair of my Konica S, but am having trouble separating the shutter. The cocking shaft has a pin in the side which engages with the winder in the camera. This makes it too big to pass through the hole in the shutter baseplate. I have read on the internet that the pin should push out with pliers, but it will neither push nor turn. Any ideas on how this should be done? Many thanks.

Well apparently it is supposed to push out, though I'm still not sure from which side, but on a few of these they can be very stiff - like mine. I have managed to get it back together with the pin in place, though it was far from easy. Success was short-lived however as the shutter isn't firing for some reason, probably displaced something when the cocking shaft lifted too high from the baseplate, but need to work it out. Then I nearly trashed the escapement by taking the wrong screw out... but thankfully pulled it back. This is turning into an epic repair job, I hope it's worth it!
