Cosina Voigtländer stops all production of cameras

Wrong title,

concerning to the official statement, only the Bessa R 35mm cameras are discontinued, but not the two medium format models.

Cheers, Jan

I doubt because to many cameras are produced. Maybe the medium format C.V.'s like Plaubel Makina 67 after 30 years .... :)

Sad. The only 35mm RFs in production now are the Leica MP and M7.

No, there is also the new Leica M-A, introduced just a year ago because of increasing demand for Leica film cameras (whereas the demand for digital Leica M cameras is decreasing, as is the whole digital camera market).

There are plenty of used RF film cameras out there. In Oct I spent 3 weeks in Germany. I took my 1953 Contax IIa with a Voigtlander 25mm lens, & my 1964 Leica M3 with 50mm & 90mm. They worked just fine. As does my M4-P which is my newest Leica.

My bet is that Cosina is working on an M mount digital camera and will release it in 6 months. They are still making M mount lenses.

If you want a new Voigtlander film camera, buy it now while Stephen still has them in stock.
