Hi, I shoot digital, and picked up a few contax g lenses for my system, and am thinking about picking up a g2 body to try out.
Im sure it has been posted here before but can't find it.
How much roughly would it cost to setup a darkroom using my bathroom, to process and print B&W? chemicals, enlarger (A4 size) etc..
thanks

Where are you? The cost of materials and equipment varies in different places.

Equipment: often free, because plenty of people will give you what you need if they know you'll use it. Go to your local camera club.
Materials: 20-30€, £20-30, $20-30.

R.

Hi, I'm located in Prague,Czech Republic
Good to hear about the cost, i've never developed before, I guess if i get really into it later, I can probably upgrade equipment, what would be the largestt cost then, the enlarger?

a fully equipped darkroom with enlarger, sinks, etc can be costly but there is always a low-end alternative.

If you look around and are patient for can do it almost for free. I just got an enlarger (Omega D5XL), 50mm Nikkor, 100mm Componon-S, timer, easel, utensils, safelights, and a bunch of film developing stuff for $250 CDN. I paid too much. I want to print up to 4X5 negatives and am not patient so I went for it. I live in small city and there were 6 other enlargers for sale, all ranging from free to about $150 (not including mine). One was a brand new LPL for $100.
You don't need a darkroom. I do it in my office at night. There is bathroom around the corner where I wash the print and hang them to dry. I will have to improve my set up if I want to print in the summer!
