Could it be light leak?

The Olympus Stylus I have takes great pictures, however there's one flaw. The pictures all come out with horizontal streaks. Could this be light leak from the film speed window? If it is, would you recommend taping the window shut with black tape?

How does the foam that surrounds the window and seals to the cassette look?

They seem okay. Firm and rubberry.
