could you share some cv 15mm f4.5 images?

This is a fun lens to use. I manage to get feet, knees, etc. into the frame every once in a while. Bryce has made some fantastic shots in abandonded mines with this lens on a Bessa L. He also engineered a filter holder that works well for the 15/Bessa L combo.

I have a few modest samples on Flickr: http://tinyurl.com/yfuql3

I keep going back and forth about this lens. It often seems to be just too wide to be interesting, but then I get some grest images. I sold my first one a few years ago, then bought another last spring, which I will keep.

I don't own one, but I borrowed one for a couple of weeks. I imagine that it would be fun to have in one's bag for the occasional shot, but I'm not sure that I'll get one. Optical quality is very good, build quality is not up to Voigtlander's current standards.

What makes you say that about the build quality? Mine is pretty similar to my 40mm Nokton it seems. All metal, the fstops click about identically on both lenses, and the focus ring feels about the same.

Both of mine are used, so I don't know how old they are.

There are some really great 15mm shots posted on this thread, but ferider's shot is one of the best ultrawide shots I have ever seen! Way to go Roland!
Do you have any other photos taken with this lens? As difficult as it is to keep fingers, feet and tripod legs out of the photo with the 15, I can't imagine how difficult the 12mm must be to use.

Here are a few, shot at 1/4 to 1/15 sec with neopan at 1600.

15mm is a fun lens. I love its compact size.

not trying to siphon off users, but there's a flickr group devoted especially to it, that you can view here.

feel free to join if you feel like contributing!

I love it, it's a very dramatic lens, although it can be tough to not look too gimmicky with it. I wish it were a bit faster, but hey, I guess I can't have it all. Here's a few samples.

i have been looking at the 15mm groups on flickr and it seems this lens can do some very cool things but more often than not the pics look distorted and sorta odd looking.
and yet, i am very much thinking about buying one. i bet it would see more use than my 90.

joe

one can minimize the distortion by keeping the camera level & centering your subjects. if you can afford one, shoot with a spirit level.

Joe, the 15 is an odd beast. The first and only time I took mine out, I had a blast looking through the viewfinder and snapping photos with my Bessa T. I thought my pics would be "dramatic." However, when I got the roll developed, instead of dramatic, the pics looked distorted and "too far away" from the subject matter. No drama at all. I suppose I'll give it another go, but am seriously considering dumping the 15 and getting the new Zeiss 21 f4.5 instead.

Foreground. It's mostly about the foreground.
