It is so funny, funny, funny, reading about young people discovering their first rangefinder 35mm camera; I was an adult before the first SLRs with preset and auto diaphragms hit the market! How reassuringly wonderful it is, also. My first 35 was a Robot Star, followed by a Canon 1VS-2, and I'm sure your excitement mirrors my own exuberance. A few years ago I put my multi lens Nikon F2SB outfit aside and bought a golden oldie, a fifty year old Contax 2A, and then a Bessa R2 body as soon as they arrived. I still use it, with a Canon 28mm, a little Leica 35 mm and a collapsable 50mm Summicron., all fifty/sixty years old or more. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, you have, in this purchase, a superb beginning! Good fortune be with you.
