Covid-19 camera setups

I've been seeing a lot more people buying/repairing and using legacy glass lately as their photos are less landscape/street and more flowers and portraits. Wanted to see what everyone was shooting with at the moment and if it differs to your usual set up?

Personally, I finally pulled the trigger on my dream lens for my M3. Worried it may be a don't meet your heroes lens but always wanted one

I've been doing "out the window" photography of animals (mostly bird and rabbits, yesterday I saw a Prairie Dog) so I've been using a Canon 5dIII with a 70-300 f/4-5.6 L
 
I've been on some very odd camera kicks lately, not sure if it's due to COVID or not....

Plus someone gave me a Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta B that just got a full CLA, and at the other extreme, I just got a Ricoh Theta V for work.

At the moment I'm pretty sure I have a kind of virus -- or maybe it's more of a syndrome 🙂
 
I inherited a campur from my granddad a few years back. Never used it as it needs some work doing to it that I've still not sorted out. Yours looks lovely.
 
Using my Fujifilm X-H1 (used often before) with the 60mm Macro more (not used much in the past)... and will add a Fujifilm X100V in May. Once that comes, I will try to do a project in my apartment with it. Probably involving multiple exposures since the X100V offers 9 exposures in camera to my other camera`s 2 exposures. I have no interest doing it outside of the camera.

Honestly, I really just want to be on the streets more than ever now.

AND Vince, that Rollei is sexy!
 
I used to have this kit as in OP. Sold due to lack of use. I mean, it is hard for me to use 50mm lens. I'm closer to action. In normal times.

I use non RF gear mostly. iPhone at work 🙂, Canon 500D DSLR with L zoom at home and then I walk outside with dog, it is E-PL1 with zoom on it.

This one was taken during C-19 lock-down with construction (of another condos which will be half-empty) workers still forced to work.
I used Nikon EM and Tokina 24 2.8 SLR kit for it. Was going at my work (essential service).

I have two Nikon F street kits now. F2 with waist finder, 28, 20 lenses and EM with 19, 24, 28 lenses.

I also just paid for after war Leica IIIc, to have some rest from F heavy metal.
 
Since we can still go for walks in our neighborhood, I’ve been shooting with small, light cameras, like the Rollei 35s and Olympus RC. Shooting Leica ME 240 for color, since local color labs are closed.
 
I just popped out for food, and took my Sony RX0, which I use all the time. It's a great camera that disappears when you're not using it. And because it is water and shock proof, there' a sense of security that you don't feel with normal cameras.


The RX0 has been my usual pocket camera for about two years. Because I value lighter and lighter gear these days, I barely even take a m43 camera out, let alone a Leica M. The RX0 and Panasonic LX10 are small, silent and fast, and both have a nice 24mm equivalent wide end which is ideal for capturing scenes and context.
 
I've been shooting a lot of photos of my cats and a few photos of what is being cooked for dinner. Using my Lumix GX85 and whatever lens is within reach, usually a 1" f/1.8 Cooke Kinic.

Now that I think of it, I've also done some macro photography of bees in the flowers, out in the garden. These were shot with the Olympics E-M5 original with Olympus 60mm f2.8 macro, which an excellent lens that hardly ever gets attention.
 
An RFF member gifted to me a Miranda Sensorex w/50mm Auto-Miranda f1.4 (my 1st SLR in the 70's) loaded with Tri-X, and an iPhone 11.

I'm doing the same here; shots around the house. Not exactly Macro, but I zoomed with my legs as close as I could get:

Nice.

My wife has an iPhone 11 and it is disgustingly good as a camera🙂
But what would I do with all the money and time and storage space I’d have if I just sold all my “real cameras” and used an iphone? Too frightening to contemplate.
 
Thanks Larry, I agree and totally empathize. It is so convenient both with shooting and post-processing/uploading/sharing.

I'm luckily to be able to compartmentalize my vintage camera fixes w/digital camera photography. I enjoy both and they can co-exist in my little photography universe. 🙂
 
Regarding photography setups these days, I rearranged my home office to make it more amenable for natural light still life and flat lay photography. I have been using the M240P and 50mm Summicron for color work, and the M3 and Summicron for black and white films. I try to shoot at least one roll (24 exp) a day. I have always enjoyed still life as a genre, but never tried it before now.
