http://chihuahua.en.craigslist.com.mx/ele/831633893.html

ok
i do the norm and email this guy asking if it is for sale , he says yes. i email back and ask for more pics, and he says :
I'm in London (United Kingdom). The product is new, have 2-year warranty and all international accesorios.Puedo send the product of a transport company. If you're interested, give me personal information for the operation.

anyone fall for this , i mean go any further ?
i simply returned email back with this info:

ok Samuel
can you send it COD ?
this sounds a little to fishy to me , so you send by mail and i will pay cash when it arrives to me in the USA.
Yes the USA, you know, that country that Bombs the Hell out of terrorists and Craigslist Scammers.
thank you for your cooperation .

well it was fun, but i have yet to hear back.

Classy ...

I seen this exact same pic with an add on ebay not too long ago.

Why on Earth is there an English version of the Craigslist for Chihuahua? For those who don't know, Chihuahua is not just a little dog, it is a state in northern Mexico. Los Mexicanos hablamos Espanol, no Englais. LOL

And why are you trolling Mexico's Craigslist....that's just asking for troubles.

Well I understand your reluctance to just send money off to this person, but are you REALLY surprised that you got no response to your message that 1) suggests you distrust him and 2) issues an implied threat to "bomb" him if he is a scammer? Aside from the fact that he'd probably take offense at the accusation if he was not a scammer, your offer of violence would seem to dissuade him from sending any additional information to you. I just think this could have been handled better from BOTH ends.

Forget the deal and find another. You will.

Sometimes all the scammer wants is your email address or other benign-seeming info. I think it's typically best not to reply at all.

I know of someone who just recently was burned on Craigslist. Why people buy on CL from out of state is beyond me. They should only buy local and pickup. PDN and Canon rumors just mentioned a site on their home ( www.registeryourcamera.com ) that may help with such experience. Seems like a decent approach.

Craigslist SCAMS are about as common as the claimed "mint" FSU cameras on eBay. No surprise that the above mentioned ad was fraudulent.
