Again with the TMX in Rodinal 1:100. I like this combination. This time it was 22 minutes with agitation every other minute...seemed to work better. I'll have to remember that. As for comments on some of them. Neon and Birds are my personal favorites from this roll, but I plan to print Bike Shadow in addition to both of those. I have no idea what that light anomoly is in Birds...it's just there.

"I have no idea what that light anomoly is in Birds.."

Steph, this looks like lens flare to me being the opposite side of the frame to the brightest part, the other white spots could be dust on the end element or on the neg when scanned.

Yeah, white spots are dust. I figure those will clean off when I print, so I left them on the negs to give character. ;)

I figured that it was a lens flare of some kind, but it's kind of a weird one.

What lens is this, Stephanie? It vignettes and fades almost like a pinhole!

cheers, Rob.

The camera is a Lex35. I can't even find a photo of the one I'm using for you to look at...I'll take a photo of it later on...perhaps tomorrow. :)

Lex35, Google works miracles. That is a simple P&S alright...
Could the shiny line be a reflection of the body, like a shiny edge of a hood?

cheers, Rob.

No. The one you came up with on Google is most likely not the one that I use. The one I use is black and the simplest of simple: one shutter speed, one aperture, and a plastic lens. I have no control over anything.

Peptonio, I think you are a bit harsh in your judgement. Stephanie may be a little scattered, but she is enthusiastic in what she does. Sooner or later she will settle on what she wants to do and stick with it. In the meantime it is no-one else's place to be telling her what to do. Give advice by all means, but there is no need for any form of admonishment.

Ps. Stephanie if you are into experimenting with cameras and film you might find this place quite interesting. ;)

Stockpile and neon are my favourites from this batch. Ya gotta get rid of that dust though ... it's kinda distracting.

Peter

I will admit i like this set of photos, birds and tree my favorites. Keep experimenting, you've got a good eye Stephanie!

I left the dust because I didn't want to clean up the negs right now...I'll do that before I print them. I'm using a point and shoot right now because I got in a rut again...getting myself out of it. Tonight I'll be going to Des Moines with my boyfriend and taking photos there. Some street shots, some street level shots, some candids, etc. I'll be doing that with the P.

And don't get me wrong, I've been shooting with the P. I just don't have anything developed from it right now. I wanted to get these done before I did the others because they were supposed to be for the point and shoot contest...but I don't need the snappy because I'm incredibly happy with the Lex35.

So thanks for all the kind words. And Andy, don't mind Pep there...this is his third incarnation, if I recall correctly.

Sorry, I have to disappoint you, I am neither any kinda reincarnation nor have I anything to do with that pepto ghost , excepted the fact that we have a similar opinion concerning your "activities" at the several forums where we have seen you.

But even if I were him it would not change anything , the facts stay and wouldn't be less true. The ignore option is wisely chosen , the only choice you still have I suppose.

Peppo

PS.: Better you take Polaroid for the self-nekkids which you want to sell here, this brings you easier over the break even line and outta your dept. And somehow it fits better to your style of shooting and to this sick idea of making some bucks.

Geez, I don't know, but Peptonio makes some valid points. It just seems like maybe somone might want to learn at least one process before going on to the next one. I remember reading in one of Stephanie's threads that she doesn't like to read about how to do something but just wants to experiment and see what happens. If that is the case, then why ask for help? My advice? Get a book on the basics, learn something, and see what happens.

'pep's signature pretty much states it all. When someone identifies themself as a Smartass, it's hard to take anything they post seriously.
