as you may have noticed in my sig…i have joined crated, added a few pics and waited for the offers to come in for my images.

nothing…nothing has happened, no sales, no enquiries…no success whatsoever…

not sure if it's the prices or if my images are just bad…?

has anyone else tried crated?

any success stories out there?

i'd love to hear…

A glance at their social media presence suggests that not many people are familiar with it. Furthermore, if sites are still getting Google "page ranks," they're currently a 0.

I'm signing up for it, so I'll let you know how it works! I'm represented by a gallery here in Seattle, but I've been looking for a better solution to sell prints of my more decorative work that didn't involve me shuttling to photo labs, post offices, and answering emails (i.e., etsy, square marketplace, so on). The site looks good, but it seems that at this stage in the company you might have to do some of the promotion until they're more established.

Or they could go the way of Google+ and end up not really taking off. Who knows.

ah, b&w I think .. don't you? address to follow, but you have to suffer and pick one of mine ... the recent stuff in on ipernity

Thanks I didn't even know about crated existance.

Also except for the blur picture I doubt that your images work as wall decoration that doesn't mean that they are bad it's just that the subject matter doesn't really lend itself to wall decoration.

Anyway I wish you the best of luck and success.

could very well be...though i am not sure what would suit a wall...i thought the veges would be great in a kitchen.

Looks like people being ready to invest in some photographs have other options and much choice out there.

Not too sure if totally unknown people like us might have a chance to sell a photo online.

You might want to try to have some of your photos published in some actual printed material (books, papers). This is more rewarding than any fuzzy internet business.

There are obviously many different ways to sell your photos online, but of the online marketplace platforms, crated is one of the new kids on the block -- I think it just launched to the public this past May (4 months ago), so the word probably hasn't gone out. Just like selling anything else online, you have to create a buzz and generate traffic.
