Well, it's a bit embarassing, but I don't actually develop them myself. I gave them to a lab here in Berlin. I want to learn to develop my own B&W one day but haven't gotten around to it yet. I "scan" the developed negatives with my Nex 5 and macro lens, and edit them in Photoshop. In this case I also used Snapseed's drama effect which gives it this amazing tonality.

The M8, for me, is a Monochrome camera, that just happens to let me convert some photos to colour, should i want to. This means it also lets me choose the colour filter used for the shots, after i've shot them, something the M Monochrom doesn't have.
I find the black and white conversions from the M8 to have a look different to the M9, a bit punchier. The M9's are smoother, and greyer, it's a different look that has it's own charms. The M9 is far better for colour in my opinion, especially greens, even with the IR filters used on the M8.
