I was planning to trade my elmar-m 5cm (v1) for a planar (adding money on top of course). Now I think I want it definetely! is it a good decision??
It depends on what look you want. Vintage vs. modern ... the Planar is very modern looking.

I have my canon 50mm f1.2 for vintage look. I think I need a modern 50 planar. All other lenses I have are modern though, I wish I had some vintage 35mm too.

Well the planar is my reference lens for sharpness and contrast. Not a sunny day lens, though, too much contrast!
