Hello,
I have bought a second hand Bessa R and realy like the camera.
But Ive got a problem.
From time to time, the meter starts blinking like a stroboscope.
When the exposure is metered correct, only the middle LED appears and stays, but when I under/overexpose the meter starts flickering.
Whats the problem?
I own the camera since 2 weeks, batteries are ultra fresh.

It might be that the light reading is out of the meter's range or try cleaning the battery contacts and batteries gently to ensure good conductivity.

Also test the batteries - they may be dud even if new.

Jea I will check the contacts and batteries and replace them with new ones.
Its not one of the mentioned problems.
The meter is just flickering, blinking would be OK but not flickering like a stroboscope.
I get the problem in my room at about 1/30s and f2.8 (400)
And also outside ~1/1000s f/8
So my subjects are not outside the EV range.
It just occurs when I set the exposure correctly to the middle dot, when I shift the frame it indicates low uder/overexposure with flickering LED.
But in general its a solid LED.
I will see tommorow. thanks!

Ive got a new theory about my problem.
I think the battery is realy at its end of his life. Thats not unrealistic, but wierd because its a realy fresh example from a good brand. A meter that drains a fresh battery in 2 weeks cant be true.
I noticed that the blinking increased.
But there is only blinking when 2 LED's light up, with 1 alone there is no problem. So I think theres not enough power to light both LED's at once and thats why they blink.
Fresh batteries are on my way.
--> Wanna know what is realy pervert? I have always bought 10x LR44 batteries for about 2 € shipping included. Absolutely no problem for years! When I bought 2 batteries by Duracel in a local store, they charged me 4€... what the..?
