Wayne:
Nice shot. I really like the matching of the colors (eyes, background and clothes) and the girl’s expression where I see a little bit of self humour that adds a lot to the portrait.
I find the flowers to be a bit distracting.

Todd:
Very nice portrait , the kid’s expression and pose adds sense of humor to the shot.
I like the composition (the kid slightly on the left framed by the parents and oof area with a bear (?)), that makes possible to understand immediately that is a family at the zoo.
Good exposure and tones too.

Raid:
beautiful subject, I like the exposure, and the soft light and colours are perfect for the subject.
I also like the way the light is reflected in her eyes whose expression is really capturing. The details of the curly hair are fantastic.
Maybe I’d like to see a bit more focus on the eyes.

Vrgard:
very nice portrait, the eye contact draw the attention to the subject which has a nice confident expression and shows a friendly relationship with the camera/photographer. I like the dof and light/exposure even though I’d like she wouldn’t dress that hat that covers the face from light.

That's all folks!!
Thanks for your comments.

I shot the photo at open aperture. You can see the small range of sharpness. Light came naturally from the window. Since this photo, I set aside my flash units and I have started to work with exisitng light instead. The quality of my children photos jumped up a notch or two.

Raid,
about using flash, I prefer available light even though I saw a few good exaples on Rff about using it. Open aperture fits the purpose for portraits; you're right in your comment, I should use a wider aperture in my shot to avoid the funny effect of the plant growing out the head of the subject!!
Sometimes, it happens that I don't remember to take care of the background spoiling the whole portrait!
I learned to try to get the focus on the subjects' eyes but sometimes at f/1.5 or f/2 it's a little bit difficult, I need to pratice a lot on it.

Thanks for the comments guys!!

I hated the flowers but her mother was determined to have them in a shot. Glad to see that I am not alone in not liking the flowers:)
