Welcome! You're not kidding when you say 'dark side'. I came over a little over a year ago when I bought a used 50 Cron to try on my Oly EP-2. Then came a 28 Elmarit, then came the M8.2, then came an M9. To cut it short, I am now $20k poorer. Be afraid...be very afraid.

M4-P !? Enjoy !! It is a fun camera and the "best" all-mechanical M Leica ever made.

My M5s need red dots!
Congratulations on discovering the path to enlightment!
I have an M4-2, which is about the same as yours minus the 28mm framelines, and it's a joy to shoot.

A masterpiece. Looks like she's missing a leg. 1st shot as a Leica owner. f2.5 and 1/60

Piffle, Mr. Keivman. Having a Leica never made me a babe magnet. In fact, hardly anyone ever notices the kind of camera I'm using--I seem to be considered a dweeb using a point & shoot. So I guess if I'm a poser and a wanker, it's only in my own mind...

The Dark Side? Not yet. The dark side requires a Noctilux, or at the very least, a Summilux!

Well, do enjoy the M4-P. They are in my opinion the best of the older M series cameras. Also, they have a brass top and bottom cover instead of the cast covers. I had both the M4-P and an M6, But sold the M6, as I prefer my M4-P.
