Interesting study on B & W films, in French, but easily exploitable

Quite a methodical examination; obviously such a thing could never be truly comprehensive, but this is about as good as one could hope for. I found the microscopic examinations of the grain structures fascinating - there's an extraordinary level of variation across emulsions.

Wow - what makes the Foma and Rollei RPX (except 100) films look so dramatically different from all
the others under the microscope?

Rollei RPX25 - amazing film. I tried one roll, and I'm hooked by the resolution and long gray scale tonality. Pixel peep a scan, and more details come up, not just more grain as with most films.
