on your Nex-7?
I don't have any native Sony lenses for mine so I've been making do with manual focus lenses. I have adapters for all of my legacy lenses and my Nikon stuff too.
So far, I really like the Canon 35 and Nikkor 24 'look' of the images they produce on it.
How about you?

Guess no one else shoots a NEX-7 here.
Oh well.

It seems NEX shooters have been a bit thin on the ground here lately. I guess that a lot of folks who initially shot with the NEX-7 have now moved to the A7 series..
Not sure where the NEX-crowd went, maybe to talkemount.com?
FWIW, I mainly use three lenses on my NEX-6; the 10-18, the 16-50 and the 18-105. Sharpest of the bunch is the 10-18; it's also the one that does night shots best. The 16-50 is for when I need small (obviously), and the 18-105 is a great portrait lens.
The 30 and the 55-210 see no use.. The 30 (although optically very decent) is not very comfortable as a macro lens; no distance/magnification scale, iffy manual focusing and close working distance at 1:1 (difficult to align the plane of sharpness) make it less than ideal. Not sure what/whether something's wrong with the 55-210, I just don't like it; maybe it's just that the 18-105 is so much nicer..

Thanks for the reply and link Peter.
I can't afford an A7 so settled for what I felt was the next best thing to it.
Thanks for the synopsis on the lenses too. I may start saving up for a native lens yet. =;>)

The 25/4 Color Skopar was glued to my Nex-6.
I don't like using SLR lenses on mirrorless cameras, this kinda beats the purpose of going mirrorless. Size matters.

same here and I have used the 4/25 Color Skopar a lot, lately however substituted by the 4/21 whose angle of view I prefer ( and to be precise I use it more on my Ricoh GXR M than on my NEX5n )
My most used lens on the NEX is Pen-F Zuiko 1.4/40, an amazing little lens ( my pics taken with it: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kuuan/sets/72157629315399105/ )
my most usual set for the street the 21mm Skopar and the 40mm Zuiko

after series of lens barters, i'm now using SEL35mm/1.8 and SEL16mm/2.8 on my beaten, gaff-tape-covered Nex 5N. They are always with me.

When on duty, the Nex 5N is almost always on a slider. It became a b-roll camera paired with Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 and Canon 50mm 1.4 using EF-Nex adapter.

When I had my NEX6, I primarily used the 16-50mm, followed by the 10-18 and the Sigma 19mm and 30mm. At one time, you could get a bundle that included both lenses for a total of $200.
I have since sold off the NEX6, 10-18 and Sigma lenses. I have the 16-50mm for my IR-converted NEX3 and for family party snap shots with my A7R.

On my A6000 -- Sony/Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 for portraits. One of the really great lenses.
Trying to love the 32mm Zeiss. The Sony/Zeiss 24mm is quite good. Voigtlander Nikon "S" 50mm f/1.5 on adapter if very good as well.
Update Spring 2015: the 32mm Zeiss is GREAT now with the firmware update (gives this lens Sony's great hybrid AF).

My three favorite adapted lenses are a Nikon 50/f2 LTM, a Jupiter 8 and a Minolta 45/f2. I also use a Sony 50/1.8 and the 16-50 kit lens fairly often.
With the close focus capability and sharpness, the Nikkor 50/f2 makes a nice moderate long lens.

The Sigma 19/2.8 as I like the 28mm eq. vof. It is great and cheap, a no-brainer.
I used to own the Sigma 30/2.8 but didn't really liked it - I replaced it with the Sony 35/1.8 OSS which is good, I find it versatile.
The Sony 50/1.8 OSS I really love - I didn't expect that, but I do....
Some samples on my NEX F3:
Sigma 19/2.8 @ 2.8
Sony 35/1.8 OSS @ 2.5
Sony 50/1.8 OSS @ 2.8

Sigma 30mm f2.8 followed by the Sigma 19mm 2.8.
I use the 60mm Sigma least ,not because it's not good---actually, it is the best lens I've used on the NEX---but because I infrequently have need for a short tele.

I use an a6000 at times... with the Sony 20mm E and the Zeiss 35mm FE

how's the A6000 + 20mm combo working for you? I'm thinking of getting it to replace my Nex 5N + 16mm setup.

I use a battered nex7 and 20/2.8 emount as a sort of Ricoh GRD substitute. Focus is good, the lens is more than good enough for street photos, the Nex 7 is a joy to use. Not as compact as the GRD but very good.
