Custom R-D1 profiles for ACR CS2

I tried to make some custom profiles for ACR CS2 to
match the results i get from the Epson converter with
ok results, but i feel there still something missing in the
final results, anyone else tried to do this, the new ACR
CS2 seems to be a fantastic converter with, pardon my
french "shitloads of options" to tweak your images to your
desired taste...
But as a lot of others has stated before me, the conversion
we get from the SLOW....ZZzzzz Epson converter LOOKs
amazing but is a real drag to use, espesially on the mac
platform, which i use and still going to...

Anyone else managed to make some good profiles...?
I would really be interested in trying them to see
if we can put up some profiles so we dont need this
terrible workaround which the Epson converter is at
the present time...

PS! You can use/make this profiles in Adobe ACR 7.0,
8.0 and 9.0 if you have the ACR converter...

How long does it take to get a TIFF file through ACR?
Just curious.
Comparing R-D1 to Nikon D70 conversion times, i usually get with a Mac G4 400 & OS 9.2:
1'10" through PSE 2.0 and the Epson RAW plug-in
1'15" through the standalone converter 'Nikon Editor'
2'15" through PSE 2.0 and the Nikon NEF plug-in

On my PowerMac G5 Dual 2GHZ with 2GB DDR Ram i get a R-D1
file converted to 16 bit tiff wih ACR CS2 in no time, but its not this
that makes the Epson converter "hard to use" its the plug-in
interface with no batch function, and the rather clumpsy settings
for sharpen, no resize function and so on....

Are you really using system 9.2, i did not know there still was
people using this "caveman" system, you should really
consider upgrading your system, mostly because of much better
filehandling, much better colorsync workflow and so on....

Not ment to be rude, i just know you wil benefit from upgrading

First of all you're French and it's of course a national requirement in France to know and savor wine. Secondly, various wine bottles have appeared in your still life pictures over the past few years. (LCT and I go back to when we were both trying to maximize the quality we could get from the little Leica Digilux 1 - no easy task). I'm also half-French (Acadian actually) so its in my blood too (pun intended).
