Custom setting the AF of a D700 Nikon for sport.

Some of this guy's settings for other camera functions don't mean much to me but his custom settings for the AF system of a D3s made quite a difference to my D700. I used the camera last weekend at a classic MX event and was very impressed with the results ... it was definitely an improvement over the default settings or anything you'll find recommended in the very lengthy manual that comes with a modern Nikon DSLR. My D700 is getting a little long in the tooth (now six years old) and I was considering upgrading at some stage but after the way the camera performed on the weekend ... 'nyet!'

I had a quick read of the specs of the new D750 the other day ... damn! 😛

The D700 is an amazing camera though ... probably one of Nikon's best ever.
