would be a lot cheaper...no real need to focus so af is not really an advantage...images from the fuji/cv look pretty good to me...the lens is pretty small, especially the original ltm...

I haven't seen a lot of sample images from the 14, but isn't it a lot less distorted then the vc15?

That was my choice .... images to follow when I get some time.
The CV is almost focus free, and at $300 for a used M mount, very very cheap relative to the 900 for the 14.

How much cheaper? I am thinking about it too. Do we know how much the fuji will weight?

the fuji is set for about 900 and a cv used can be bought for between 3-400 bucks...
i'm likely to wait for the fuji but there are some very nice shots in a thread here on rff from the 15.

I use the CV now and then on my X-pro1. Not too often though. The CV is good enough for me for the few time I use it and therefore I'll probably will not get the Fuji 14.

I have used the CV15mm on my X Pro and I really like it. It is a little soft on the edges but it is more than good enough that I won't spend the $ for the Fuji 14mm. I do think I will get the Fuji 10-24mm as it would give a wider angle and a great zoom range

I will be when the adapter arrives. My Heliar 15mm is the LTM version. The possibility of using this lens is one of my lesser reasons for getting the Fuji X-e1.

Got them processed .... CV15 first version, not RF coupled, M mount.
Some corner issues with color shift, only really noticeable on a really blue sky.
a bit of corner softness

For what I do, it's wide enough, just crop out the naughty bits. I really wanted this lens a a replacement for the 18 anyway, I find the 24 effective a bit wide anyway.

Looks good to me. I'll likely get one for the M8.

fuji are now saying end of feb for the 14. i've cancelled my order with digital camera warehouse in melbourne. my CV15 works perfectly for what i wanted the 14 for and it is virtually focus-free. and i saved myself nearly a grand. might buy more wine instead.

The Fuji is a stop and a half faster (2.8 vs 4.5).
May or may not matter, depending on what you're doing.
