Like alot of you on this forum, I too purchased a 15mm Super Wide Heliar for my M8, and I am somewhat concerned regarding the reports that this lens is not working that well with the M9 (purple color casts on the edges of the frame, etc,,,).

I am wondering if there will be a solution to the problem, if at all?

I am very attracted to the M9, and I doubt this problem would prevent me from purchasing the camera (I have 90% Leica Glass anyway), but the Voigtlander 15mm is wonderful, and it would be too bad if it would not work as well as it does on the M8.

Probably because the M9 can't digitally correct for such a wide lens not in it's built in list of lenses. Maybe something in Photoshop could fix it?

Are you buying the M9 to put on your CV 15mm or are you buying a CV 15mm to put on your M9?

I think the Leica sales glossy says that it's designed for 16mm (or 18mm) to 135mm.

Its only three days since the M9 was released and the CV 15 isn't a Leica lens. Be patient, it will get color corrected. Of more concern to some apparently is that the CV 15 vignettes on the M9. But it vignettes on an MP too so what do they expect? Let's wait six months and then see what the issues are. This is way too early to be upset.

While it's a bit of a crazy thought you might look at the ZM 15, costs a bit more but I think the design might work better with an M9 than the CV glass.

I doubt Leica is at all interested in providing in camera correction for any lens but their own. After all, they do sale lenses, too. If they can lock the user into their own lenses, why wouldn't they? ;)
