CV 15mm with finder

Hi Bill

Hi Bill

On film I use the 15mm finder, on the M8, I use a 21mm finder that I got with a 21 ltm package from Photo Village.

Like the 15 LTM with included finder, the CV 21 with included finder is also a great deal, in my experience.

With the M8 or use on other crop-factor sensor sporting cameras what finder is right? 15, 22.5, 30? Many of the folks who will buy LTM in future are going with old version. Digital will all be M mount. The build quality will attract folks using it professionally (daily abuse).

One big difference is that the newer lens (M bayonet mount) is rangefinder coupled. The older LTM lens that comes with the finder is not. Same optics.
I know it's a 15mm and some people think that scale focusing is fine and dandy. It's still something to consider. Me, I'd get the LTM because I love my old LTM bodies.

Raid, four months ago I had the same doubts that you and finally I bought a second hand ltm version with finder and adapter ring for about 300 Euros. It is since then sticky in my R3a and I don´t regret buying it.

I would only consider an LTM version for the 15mm Heliar. In fact, I need such a lens for my Egypt trip this summer.

so far loving the new 15mm M-Mount lens. The coupled focusing seems a bit unneeded compared to the scaled focusing which works just fine. Slows down shooting, but in the end I think that helps me compose better.
