shot 2 rolls with the r4m and the 21 this weekend.
a b&w, delta 400 that is in the tank and needs to be processed and a no name colour 200 print film, which i had developed and scanned.

i am not a natural with this lens🙂
way too much info in the shots, need to move up much much closer and most of the pics have a finger in them!

here are a few (cropped😉) shots...not much to look at though.

Ahhhhh.....the old "finger in the picture" trick, eh? That's exactly why I tracked down LARGE hood for my 35/2.5 CV lens. How 'bout focus? Easy? Do you bother using the viewfinder, or scale focus? I intend that lens to be my next purchase, when SWMBO says it's OK....

enjoy the glass....

I have a 35-50-85 kit and am contemplating what a good wide would be. But the 21 looks too wide for everyday use is street situations.

for everyday use i would use the 25.
snow is mostly gone, just very grey tho they are promising sun this week.
trying to keep the smaller hood so less blockage in the finder.

i'm too used to the larger zi/zm combo

Looks like a great town for shooting! Or are you at the same place I am at home- been down every street enough times?
-what no name is on that film? Pretty nice color!

You gotta admit the colour is what makes the 2nd shot. I like it even though the sky was dull. Must of been a very overcast day. These lenses really bring out the blue skys. Thats one reason I like them so much.

Here's some 21CV shots on my IIIF I took Sunday a week ago, on a local cruise.

Yellow-Green Filter and APX 100.

I am starting to like this lens.

-A,

The 25mm is a perfect fit for your lens lineup. I have the 25mm ZI Biogon and love it. It's built like a tank and is a solid performer. You may want to look at the new CV 25mm M mount rf coupled offering. I think it should be available anytime at about ~$375. Stephen/CameraQuest is closing out the discontinued 25mm Snapshot Skopars (screw mount/with vf) for under $300.

Good luck,

Bob

The 21 makes a fine street lens too--set it on f8 and 1 meter and everything from about 1 meter to infinity is in focus.

ZivcoPhoto--nice shots. I'm sure the filter must help the pronounced contrast a lot.

It's taken me a while to get used to the 21. I took it out on Saturday and shot four rolls with it, deliberately didn't carry anything else, and took it out the weekend before too. My normal length is 50mm so it's quite a culture shock.
