Jan as in "Jan and Dean"
I just got a new CV 25/4 P lens. My problem is that the front element has a small concentration of pinhole-sized marks in one of the sides, which have a "sparkle"-like look to them. The entire front glass also seems to have pinhole sized marks on the underside of the glass, but they look more like dried water marks -something on the glass and not something wrong with the glass itself. I took the lens out today and shot a couple of rolls. I'll develop them this weekend, and see if it affects the photos.
I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem with the lens ( or any CV lens ). The other CV lens I have ( 35/2.5 Color Skopar ) is pristine and doesn't have any type of markings on it.
Any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated, as I'm kind of bothered by the condition of the glass, and would like to know if this is an anomaly or common to this lens.
Thanks,
JP
