So far, the best lens news from Photokina among the sea of announcements:

The 35/2 is all new. We simply lack a sub-200 grams, small and modern one. The 21/3.5 looks like the M-mount version of the new E-Mount 21/3.5 (optimized for digital?). Both come in the style of the much loved Color-Skopar 28/3.5.

Still in the "concept" stage but man. I want them so bad.

Who do we "bug" to make these a reality? Both have qualities I value very much. The 21/3.5 is attractive right now (see my other thread about decentered elmarit 21/2.8). The small size is more like the SEM 21/3.4, and that little lens is my dream 21. Maybe this one could replace that dream???

I agree with FrozenInTime here. All black (paint on brass) would be the nicest. A 35mm f/2 Ultron in black paint just like the Color Skopar 50mm f/2.5 would be PERFECT.

28 Ultron f2 ain't small and have some reputation for focus shifts.
I hope this 35/2 will be better and with normal filter size. :)
Metal shtuck focus tab is less ergonomical as modern ones, but not going to get loose after plenty of use.

They look like something that Komura would have made in the late 1950s under the Acall name brand.

The 21mm lens is very fetching.

It would be nice if it goes into production and sold complete with a viewfinder.

This is indeed good news. Great that CV is still in the game and bringing what would undoubtedly be popular lenses. Great work Mr K. And team.

Will miss the Tom A sneak previews.

That 2/35 could be the lens that jumps me back into M mount. Looks great (although I’d prefer a proper focus tab).
I hope it makes it to production.
