Hi all. Anyone know how to make the 35 frameline come up on the M8 when using the CV 40/1.4? It turns on the 50 frameline, not what I prefer.
Thanks,
John

You need to remove some metal on the base of the lens.

Ride, dive, shoot.
I've done this with locksmith files. Take tiny bit (1mm) of metal from the tab.
Just make sure you mask the rear glass and everything other than the tab really really well.

It is very easy, I did it more accurate than file, with Dremel rotary tool.

This link explains how. It a Leica Summicron-C 40mm but I used this on my own VC 40/1.4 with success. Please take care of the metal dust.

Worked like a charm! The link in the post just above worked the best. I used a dremel with VERY slight pressure. Almost couldn't see the amount of metal I removed. Now I have a VERY ACCURATE 35mm frame line!
Thanks to all!!!
