CV 40/1.4 or Yashica 35GX/1.7?

RFF folk, I'm looking for some sage advice. Do any of you have experience using both the Voigtlander 40mm/1.4 lens and a Yashica 35 with the 40mm/1.7 lens? If so, how do they compare? I'm contemplating buying the CV 40 for my Bessa R4, but I already have a Yashica 35GX. Would I be getting any significant improvement in image quality by buying the CV lens? Thanks for your opinions.

i think its more a question of how many cameras are you comfortable carrying. I have 2 yashicas, GTN and MG, that i quite frankly dont use alot. i just cant be arsed carrying more than 1 camera usually, so the CL usually gets the nod.

thats me anyway. i dont have either the GX or the nokton, so cant help you with the comparison.

If it were me I'd sell the Yashica, get the 40/1.4, and use a simpler kit. But everyone's different.
