better? depends on if you like contrasty or not. i'm not familiar with the nikkor so hard for me to tell.

I also have both lenses and know that the Nikon SLR lens is excellent. I also would guess - and it is a guess - that the Nikon lens was used for the bottom photo.

Well, if the first one is the CV I'm really disappointed, having just bought one, as the corner definition is c**p. So, assuming these were both taken wide open, I'm going to say the first is the Nikon and second the CV. At least, that's what I'm hoping.

jon, et al, y'all got it - the bottom is the nikkor. i'd say i'm happy with the color skopar, and i do like my nikkor on the fe2, also ...
