I picked up a CV Heliar 75/2.5 on oBoy yesterday! Looks minty and got it for a hair over $200, which seems good to me. If this lens is anything near the quality of my 35/2.5 Classic, I'll be in heaven.

My lens set is rounding out nicely. I've now got:
CV 35/2.5
Canon Serenar 50/1.8
Jupiter-8's (several)
I-61 L/D
and coming, the 75/2.5

Happy happy joy joy.

Yes, congrats! Man! Where was I when that auction ended? Great price. I am soooo tempted to get that lens. Heard some great things about it. But I have a fantastic 90/2,8 for the Contax G2 and a wonderful 85/1,4 for my Contax RX so I have trouble justifying the need. But I must say the 90 G lens just feels too tight for me sometimes based on my style of portrait shooting. Maybe one day.....

I expect you'll like the new 75 a lot... I've found it is different enough from 90mm to make it desirable... actually I prefer the 75... and it's an excellent/sharp lens too!

Mine's on the way, too, Ben. Although your price is better than what I just paid ... sniff, sniff. Hope to get some shots this weekend with it, if it arrives from Toronto. Praise is unanimous, can't wait to try it. Good luck with yours!

I'm sure you'll love your 75/2.5. I have one and it's really fantastic. It's a perfect companion to my CV 35/1.7. Their results match really well.

Mike, how do you like the lens? Got any photo through it? I checked your gallery but didn't find any.....and yes, I joined this forum. Nice place and nice ppl around. 😀

Joe, I would except I don't have anything to trade, being new to RFs.

Hi Tom, good to see you here. I shot a bit outdoors over the weekend, but haven't developed. But I'll post when I do. Very nice handling lens, focusses better than I thought it would on my camera.

I just picked one up too but wasn't sure if the price was all that great till I saw this thread. Slight brassing on the focus ring, with hood, caps, filter and a silver finder for $210. Glass looks clean.

Not sure if the finder is going to work on my yet to arrive RD-1 though.
